  • I predominately work with women but I also have had many clients of all different genders.

I welcome all genders to reach out if my work resonates with them!

  • Somatic therapy is about learning the language of your body, discovering how movement, breath, and stillness can guide you back to safety, balance, and belonging within yourself.

This method teaches you how to listen to your body’s cues, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with the physical sense of safety and presence that talk alone can’t always reach.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT (pronounced like “act”), is an evidence-based approach that helps you build psychological flexibility — the ability to stay present, accept what’s outside your control, and take action guided by your values. Instead of trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT helps you relate to them differently, with curiosity and compassion, so they no longer run your life.

ACT has been extensively researched over the past 40 years and is recognized as a gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and especially ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence. Research shows that ACT helps neurodiverse individuals reduce emotional reactivity, manage stress, and create meaningful routines that align with how their brains naturally work — not against it.

In simple terms, ACT teaches you how to stop fighting your mind and start living your life — with more calm, clarity, and confidence.

  • Our first session together is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. During this 50-minute intake appointment, we will:

    • Discuss what brings you to therapy and explore your current concerns

    • Review your personal history, including significant life events, relationships, and any previous therapy experiences

    • Identify your goals for therapy and what changes you hope to see in your life

    • Address any questions or concerns you may have about the therapeutic process

    • Go over practical matters such as confidentiality, scheduling, and payment policies

Please complete intake paperwork 48 hours before our session so that I have ample time to prepare.

Remember, this is your space to share at your own pace. There's no pressure to discuss anything you're not ready to talk about.

My role is to listen without judgment and work with you to create a therapeutic plan that aligns with your needs and goals.

To make the most of our first session, take some time beforehand to reflect on what you hope to achieve through therapy.

Feel free to make notes about any specific concerns or questions you'd like to address.

  • The duration of therapy varies for each individual and depends on several factors. While some people may find significant benefit in just a few months of therapy, others may choose to continue for a year or longer. Here's what typically influences the length of therapy:

    Your specific goals and concerns:

    • Short-term concerns (like adjusting to a life change or learning specific coping skills) might take 8-12 sessions

    • Complex or long-standing issues may benefit from longer-term therapy

    • Some clients find value in ongoing maintenance sessions even after their initial goals are met

We'll work together to regularly assess your progress and adjust our approach as needed. I believe in empowering you to make decisions about your therapeutic journey - you can choose to end therapy when you feel you've achieved your goals, or we can discuss adjusting the frequency of sessions as you progress.

Some signs that you might be ready to end or reduce therapy include:

    • Feeling confident in managing day-to-day challenges

    • Having achieved your primary therapeutic goals

    • Developing strong coping skills and support systems

    • Experiencing sustained improvement in your symptoms or concerns

Remember, therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all process, and you're always welcome to return if you need support in the future.

  • A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a required document that healthcare providers must give to self-pay clients or those not using insurance, as mandated by the No Surprises Act. This document provides an estimate of expected charges for services over the next 12 months, including the cost for each service and relevant billing codes.

The main purpose is to help clients understand potential costs before beginning treatment and prevent surprise bills. Providers must give this estimate before the first appointment for new clients, or when requested by returning clients. It needs to be provided within 3 business days if services are scheduled 3+ days ahead, or within 1 day for services scheduled 3-10 days in advance.

While actual costs may differ based on treatment needs, clients can dispute charges that exceed the estimate by $400 or more.
